Steps to Root Nexus 5 on Android 5.0 With CF Auto Root:-

Step No 1: First of all, install the Nexus USB driver on your Laptop or PC.

Step No 2: Now unlock the bootloader of your Nexus 5 device.

Step No 3: After this download the Nexus 4 CF Auto Root file here and extract the folder on your PC desktop.

Step No 4: In the folder you’ll see these files in the folder image , folder tools, root-linux.sh, root-mac.sh & root-windows.bat.

Step No 5: Turn off your Nexus 5 device so that it can be entered in the boot loader mode. Press Volume Down key + Volume Up key and then press the power button to enter the device in the boot loader mode.

Step No 6: Once your Nexus device in fastboot mode, connect it to the Computer and click on the root-windows.bat file and follow the screen instructions as described below.

Step No 7: Wait for the process to complete and click on any prompts on your Nexus phone that appear when asked to.

Step No 8: Once done, you device will be rebooted automatically.

That’s all, upon booting you’ll find the SuperSU app in the app drawer and your device is successfully rooted.
